What Goes In Matters.
Welcome to Ultimate Pet Foods, proudly located at Unit 6, FFos Caerffili. We’re more than just a pet food shop—we’re a destination for dog and cat owners looking for better nutrition, honest advice and products chosen because they genuinely make a difference.
Whether you’re searching for premium Grain Free recipes, our specialist Ultimate+ Hydrolysed Range, natural treats, or simply want someone to help you understand what’s really inside your pet’s food, you’ve come to the right place.
Unlike many pet shops, we don’t believe choosing the right food should be confusing. Every dog and cat is different, which is why we take the time to understand your pet before recommending a suitable food. There are no sales scripts or pushy tactics—just friendly, knowledgeable advice from people who genuinely care.
Our store is home to over 50 carefully selected recipes, our innovative TED – The Expert Dog nutrition assistant, personalised sample boxes, natural treats, enrichment products and one of the UK’s most comprehensive collections of hydrolysed nutrition available without a veterinary prescription.
Whether you’re visiting because your dog has a sensitive stomach, itchy skin, food intolerances, needs to lose weight, or you’re simply looking for a better quality everyday food, we’d love to welcome you.

There are plenty of places to buy pet food. We wanted to create somewhere people could visit to learn.
At Ultimate Pet Foods, we believe understanding what goes into your dog’s bowl is just as important as choosing the bag itself. Every conversation starts with your dog—not our products.
We’ll ask about age, breed, activity level, current food, digestive concerns, skin or coat issues, allergies or intolerances, weight management, favourite flavours and feeding routine. Only then do we recommend the recipes we believe are most suitable.
Ultimate Pet Foods was founded by Glenn Bell, whose mission is simple: to help owners understand dog food properly.
Glenn is currently studying Canine Nutrition with the British College of Canine Studies, combining formal education with hands-on experience helping hundreds of owners choose suitable nutrition for their dogs. Every recommendation is based on your dog’s individual needs, not simply what’s popular or most expensive.
TED is our own AI-powered nutrition assistant, created to make comparing dog food simple. Bring your current bag of dog food into the shop—or take a photo of the front and back—and TED will compare it against more than 50 recipes available at Ultimate Pet Foods.
TED can help you compare your current dog food, discover suitable alternatives, match recipes to your dog’s age and lifestyle, build a personalised sample box, and access exclusive member offers. Completely free to use in-store and online.

Every recipe is made using freshly prepared meat or fish as the number one ingredient before being gently cooked to help retain flavour and nutritional value. Across the range you’ll find recipes for puppies, adult dogs, senior dogs, small breeds and large breeds.
Choose from a fantastic selection of proteins: Chicken, Turkey, Lamb, Duck, Venison, Rabbit, Pork, Angus Beef, Salmon, Trout, Tuna, Haddock and White Fish. Each recipe includes added MOS & FOS prebiotics, Omega oils, and carefully selected vegetables and botanicals.
That’s why we created Ultimate+—our premium range of hydrolysed dog and cat foods. Hydrolysed proteins are broken down into much smaller peptides, making them easier to digest and less likely to trigger adverse food reactions. Unlike many hydrolysed diets, the Ultimate+ Hydrolysed Range is available directly from Ultimate Pet Foods—no veterinary prescription required.
Developed using freshly prepared hydrolysed turkey protein, selected fibres and added prebiotics to support healthy digestion. Ideal for sensitive digestion, loose stools, frequent tummy upsets and dogs needing a highly digestible diet.
Combines hydrolysed proteins with carefully selected ingredients to nourish the skin and support a healthy, glossy coat. Ideal for sensitive skin, itchy skin, dry coats and seasonal skin concerns.
Formulated to help manage body weight while supporting healthy joints and mobility. Ideal for overweight dogs, senior dogs, less active dogs and those needing joint support.
Provides complete daily nutrition while supporting everyday oral health as part of a regular dental care routine.
Our complete daily hydrolysed recipe — a gentle, highly digestible alternative to traditional dog foods for long-term feeding.
| Recipe | Designed To Support |
|---|---|
| Ultimate+ Digestive Care | Sensitive digestion and digestive wellbeing |
| Ultimate+ Skin & Coat Care | Healthy skin and coat condition |
| Ultimate+ Weight Control & Joint Care | Healthy weight and joint mobility |
| Ultimate+ Dental Care | Everyday oral health |
| Ultimate+ Healthy Living | Gentle everyday hypoallergenic nutrition |
Still unsure? Bring your current food into store and let TED – The Expert Dog compare it against the Ultimate+ range.
We’ve developed the Ultimate+ Hydrolysed Cat Range providing specialist nutrition using hydrolysed proteins for cats with specific dietary requirements — including Digestive Care, Skin, Coat & Hairball Care, and Urinary Care. Available without a veterinary prescription.
Changing your dog’s food shouldn’t feel like a gamble. That’s why we created our personalised Sample Box service. Rather than buying a large bag immediately, your dog can try a selection of carefully chosen recipes from our Grain Free and Ultimate+ ranges first.
Our carefully selected range of treats has been chosen to complement a healthy lifestyle. You’ll find natural chews, functional treats, dental treats, calming treats, digestive treats, skin & coat treats, training treats and enrichment products.
We know life can be busy. That’s why we offer several convenient ways to shop.

Dogs are welcome throughout FFos Caerffili and inside Ultimate Pet Foods. Bring them along, let them explore the shop, choose a new favourite treat and enjoy a friendly visit. Fresh drinking water is available outside the store.
Ultimate Pet Foods is about building a community. Over the coming months we’ll be introducing community dog walks, nutrition workshops, feeding advice sessions, educational talks, seasonal events, family activities and exclusive TED member events. We’d love you and your dog to be part of it.
We first met Biscuit and Crumbles while walking Ted in Aberdare. After a friendly chat about nutrition, their owners asked if they could try some samples. The response was immediate—both dogs couldn’t wait to tuck in. After explaining how to introduce their new food, they made the switch to our Ultimate+ Weight Control & Joint Care recipe. They’re now happily enjoying their second bag and have upgraded to a larger size.
